I have the honour to acknowledge

the receipt of Sir F.H. May's despatch No.311

of the 26th of September with regard to

the supply of ale and stout to Hong Kong

by Messrs. W. Younger and Company of

Edinburgh.

2. A general licence has been issued

to Messrs. Younger for the exportation b

all extra European destinations of one-

third of their normal exports of ale and

stout, and they are at liberty to utilise

this licence for the exportation of ale

and stout to Hong Kong if they desire to

do so.
